Six brands. Six worlds.

Each one is live. Each one is built from scratch. Not a single shared template, not a single shared font system. Click any brand to see the real site, or read what we built underneath.

Northpoint HVAC

Heating + cooling contractor

A working-class trades brand that looks like a real shop, not a marketing template. Warm photography of techs and trucks, big phone buttons everywhere, and emergency-call urgency baked into every section. The kind of HVAC site a Sarah in Ajax at 11pm with no heat actually wants to find.

Moments of craft

  • Real photography from the shop floor, not stock images
  • Asymmetric section rhythm so the page never feels like a template
  • Vignette overlays on every navy section to ground the warm palette
  • Hand-drawn-style annotation on the hero for the moment of craft

Salon, brows, and skin

Quiet-considered. Type-led layouts where the headline dominates and photographs are companions, not heroes. Cormorant italic carries the voice so the prose stays restrained. The salon equivalent of a candle that smells like nothing - in a good way.

Moments of craft

  • Single dominant headline per section, never competing with photography
  • Italic display reserved for emphasis, not decoration
  • Warm cream paper feel with burgundy accents, never loud
  • Booking flow that respects the prospect's time, three taps maximum

Neighbourhood cafe

The website is a daily newspaper. Masthead with wordmark and dateline. Drop-caps on the lead paragraph. Roman numerals for sections. Classified-ad notice boxes. Duotone newsprint photography with a faint red wash. A cafe site that looks like nothing else on the internet because it does not pretend to be a website.

Moments of craft

  • Broadsheet masthead with Courier dateline and double rule
  • Drop-cap on the lead paragraph using a custom utility
  • Multi-column body text where appropriate, like a real newspaper
  • Dotted-leader menus and Roman-numeral section markers

Auto repair and service

Workshop steel and a service ticket. Every page is structured like a printed work order, ticket number in the top right, hivis stamps rotated -8 degrees, dotted-leader line items with mono prices. The voice leads with what we do not do (no windshields, no detailing) and earns trust through specificity, not glossy promises.

Moments of craft

  • Service-ticket header on every page with ticket number and status pill
  • Big Shoulders Display ALL CAPS for headlines, IBM Plex Mono for prices
  • Photos always inside a 2px ink border, slightly desaturated
  • Yellow safety hi-vis stamps as the moment of craft per page

Bayly & Liverpool Dental

Family dental practice

Calm-direct. Every section is a real patient question answered in plain language. Q-label in DM Mono teal, italic DM Serif Display headline, plain-language body. No smile-at-camera stock photos. The mantra runs through every page: we tell you the cost first. The opposite of corporate dental.

Moments of craft

  • Q&A Editorial structure with question numbers in mono teal
  • Italic display reserved exclusively for question headlines
  • Hairline rule between sections, never bold dividers
  • Real interior and portrait photography, never stock dentistry

Wedding photography

Pure black gallery. Numbered plate sequence. Single-typeface system (EB Garamond, italic only for emphasis). The entire site is a quiet wedding gallery in the cadence of a printed book. No sans-serif anywhere. No card grids. Just plate, photo, italic caption, repeat. Photography sites that try to do more usually do less.

Moments of craft

  • Single typeface system across the entire site, EB Garamond only
  • Full-bleed photos with no border, no desaturation, no filter
  • Plate number old-style figures, small-caps title labels
  • Dark coal background lifts the warm wedding photography

Yours next?

None of these look like the others. Yours will be the same.

Every Ostra site is built from scratch around your business and the people you actually serve. Not a template with your name swapped in.
